"Journaling reads: My favorite restaurant in my hometown is La Bodega, so when I took a trip to Odessa in April, 2010, I made arrangements to meet a friend from high school there for lunch. Unfortunately, she had to cancel due to a work obligation, but I decided I would still go to La Bodega for lunch. It has never bothered me to eat alone. My favorite thing about La Bodega is their chips and salsa. I would be happy just to eat them, and skip the meal. They are the best chips and salsa I’ve ever had. So I ate them, and ate them, and ate them. Did I eat the entire bowl of salsa all by myself? Yes I did! Notes on the layout: I extracted the bowls of chips and salsa from the photo. I then changed the color of the chip bowl from a distracting blue to the green color to coordinate better using hue/saturation in Photoshop. Next, I added drop shadows to the extractions. I clipped the Summer Red background to the ""Yes I Did"" text and added a drop shadow. This all digital layout was created using Lazy Summer Reds Page Kit by Carole Harden at Digital Scrapbook Place."
