Hello, everyone! Here is a tutorial as a follow up to my
original Chunky Book post. Please let me know if you have any questions about the step-by-step photos or instructions.
TO BEGIN:1. Cut 10 pieces of Crafty Board or Chipboard, 3” x 3” each.
2. Cut 9 binding pieces from patterned paper, 2” x 3” each.
3. Fold each binding piece in half longways. Make sure the pattern that you want showing is folded to the inside.

4. Adhere chipboard pages together using the binding pieces. This will create what is known as a book block (the bound inside pages before the cover is added.)
5. To prepare the book block for the cover, you will need to adhere end pages.
6. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 6” x 3” and fold in half. Make two.
7. Adhere to each end of your book block. Set aside.
YOU ARE NOW READY TO MAKE THE COVER:8. Cut 2 more pieces of chipboard to 3” x 3”. These will be the front and back.
9. Measure the spine of your book block. Use that measurement to cut the width of the spine piece for the cover. The length will measure 3”.
10. Adhere all three pieces of chipboard to a piece of patterned paper. The pattern you want to show should be on the reverse side.
11. Leave a small space in between each piece of chipboard.

12. Trim each corner of the patterned paper on an angle.

13. Fold down each side like you are wrapping a present. Use a bone folder to get crisp edges.

14. Take a bone folder and run it along the spaces by the spine while you form the cover.

15. To adhere your book block into the cover, simply add glue to the end pages of the book block, and line up on the inside of the front cover.
16. Close the book to make sure everything lines up and is adhered completely.
17. Do the same for the back cover.

Your Chunky Book is now ready to add photos or whatever you wish to the pages.

Thank you!
