Organizing your organizing!

Before I can get to work on my layout inspired by The Scrapbookers Creativity Kit, I really need to clean my scrap room -as you can see by the picture of my messy desk! So I will post my layout next Monday

After a whirlwind month of Holiday preperation and creative projects my scrap room is a complete mess! I need to do some deep cleaning and I want to do a little rearranging as well. I have found one of the best ways to tackle a big job like this is to actually look around my scrap room and closet and make a list of what I want to move or get rid of. This helps me be organized so that when I have a few minutes I can dig in with a plan and not waste time wondering where to start. Here is an example of a few of my notes:

-Move spools of thread to sewing machine in guest room. Put chipboard alphas where spools were.

-Empty file drawer and use it to store found books.

-Move self inking stamps from basket on window sill and put in basket that the found books were in.

-Move glitter to small drawer in desk and put clear stackable trays where glitter was.

So you get the idea and I am happy to report that I got most of it all cleaned up and sorted through today! The list really helped keep me focused and I did a lot less standing around in my room staring at the mess wondering what to do! Next time you are going to do some heavy rearranging or organinzing try making a list of what you want to do first, then dig in when you have a few minutes.

Have a great week! Christine
