Location: Putting a face to the name | In the interest of time I have all the packages ready to hit the mail today (on lunch hour will drop them off) I had wanted to add a little goodie to everyone's but as have been so busy it didnt' happen -- I just want to say thanks for the hostess goodies I'd received I will use all of them On a side note -- all the Twist card assignments were selected by my DS2 and Nephew, the only thing I did was make sure no one was having their orginal card placed back on their name (I intervened twice on that score). You are recieving a total of 11 cards -- Nine swapped, one Twist and one bonus card from Don. BTW Don there were one extra of each design so I sent them back to you as well. Neva's Card has a wonderful story behind it when you receive them let me know and I will post the explaination becasue in my wisdom I forgot to photocopy here words to include. Enjoy them cuz I know I am and thanks again for beigna part of my swap! |

Location: 17325 Woodcrest Dr. NE Bothell, WA 98011 | I got mail!!!!!! They all look great. I am going to put them on a separate page in my album. I got a lot of cool ideas to use for both ATC's and scrapping. Are we going to see the other twists? And who did them? |

So glad you liked them I thought it was a great group of cards too. Yes I took snaps of all the twists and all the swapped cards -- once everyone gets theirs I will pst them-- I believe my memory will be good enough to identify everyone's twist, I didn't write them down but should remember who did what. (if I goof will the REAL maker please stand up LOL) |

Location: Somewhere over the rainbow | I want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards, I got mine yesterday. This is not only the first time I participate in an ATC swap but the first time ever I made an ATC. I would like to add that my card has some history behind it too. The Berwyn Spindle (AKA The Eight Car Pileup or The Car Kabob) was created in 1989 by Dustin Shuler and it was featured in the movie Wayne's World. On July 27th, about 2000 bicyclists rode 14.8 miles from the Daley Center Plaza in the Chicago Loop to Cermak Plaza in Berwyn, in an attempt to save this sculpture which has been proposed to be replaced by a Walgreens.

Location: The high desert of Central Oregon | Yeah! My ATC master pieces arrived yesterday too! Very fun!
The story behind "Our Snap Shot" with history. As many of you know Steve Fossett went missing on Labor Day. I had met him at a Soaring Society of America convention about 2 years ago, shortly after his world record solo flight around the world. Our company builds gliders (airplanes w/out engines). We are the only company currently in the USA doing so. Steve had asked my DH to design & build a custom pressurized glider for a world record attempt at 75,000 ft. He came to visit the project in March and took a huge party out to dinner at the fanciest restaurant in town. He liked to treat people to special things. We sat and visited with his co-pilot of his corporate jet--which Steve never flew slow. Steve was a flannel-shirt, jovial kind of guy. Rather unassuming considering his over 150 world records! We took this photo after dinner. Little did we know that Steve would be gone in a few short months, he will be missed by many. |

| Don - 2007-10-22 10:17 AM Why don't you post them in the gallery? If they don't want to see they don't have to look. I wanna see!!! ask and you shall receive I appologize for two of the photos because are blurry -- I didnt' realize it till was cropping (yeah I snapped the shots and never even looked back) One of them I can redo tomorrow morning and swap out the photo the other unless the recipient can get a better shot it will give you the gist w/o taking away from the card's design. the first three are the snapshot cards -- I indicated who made what the twist cards are also labelled by creator -- clicking on this thumbnail will start you off, just keep moving forward through the album
