I'm Back!

But boy was it every a lot of effort to get back!

I am not going to tell you how many hours I spent in the airport mainly cause I don't want to add it up but it was in the double digits and it was NOT fun!  But here are some numbers I will share. :)

  • How many flights did I have a seat for that ended up cancelled? 9
  • How many airlines did I have to check in with? 3 (I got shuffled from airline to airline as things got cancelled.)
  • How many times was my luggage was "misplaced"? 3 (and when I did finally get it back the last time all the handles had been ripped off and there was no identification on it anymore.  I had to open it to confirm it was mine.)
  • How many times did I go through security with no problems? 2
  • How many times did I fail the metal detector and get treated like a terrorist?  1
  • How many "energy drinks" did I drink to try to stay awake so I could learn the latest update? I lost count after 4...
  • How long did it take until I considered sleeping on the dirty floor in the Newark airport? 14 hours
  • How many terminals did I visit at Newark Airport?  All of them!  My fave by far was C. :)
  • How many hours was my flight supposed to be?  1.5 hours!
  • How happy was I when I actually got onto an airplane and got home? VERY!

But this is the joy of travel! I mean, did I really want to be on airplane when they felt the weather was too bad to take off or land?  Umm, no!

If I would have had my laptop with me I think I would have been totally fine.  There are a lot to things I can do on my laptop to pass the time.  Instead I alternated between walking and reading.  I tried really hard to not let it get to me since it was beyond my control.

With all that said the rest of my trip was great!  I had a wonderful time at Ranger and learned lots (plus met some great people).  I will share more with you in the coming days but I am waiting on my new power cord to arrive today so I can get back on my laptop.  Right now I am on my husband's computer and it feels all weird to me, lol.  Even the keyboard is all wrong!  Funny how you get used to one computer and get all thrown off when on another.

I will be back to blog later today so I can draw the winner's for the color challenge as well as update with some photos. :)
