HOMEMADE VALENTINE'S: triangular treat boxes

As promised, I have some Valentine's love today.  Here is a fun and simple treat box to make - ready to be filled with something sweet. :)

They are super tiny - under 2" and can be decorated any way you wish.  The even look good "plain".

And look what can be added inside. Yummy chocolate or any other tiny goodies!

I decorated mine 4 different way - I used these papers and these papers for most of the decorating and just pulled a few embellishments out to finish decorating them.

The one above I made to look like a Hersey Kiss.  I snipped off the tip and added in a strip of patterned paper to the little hole created.  I figure you could add "love notes" this way also. (felt heart)

For this one I used a tiny heart punch to create a little flower - curling up the edges to give it some dimension. (rhinestone)

On this one I folded the paper in half and cut some hearts out freehand.  Then, along the edge of the fold, I added some liquid adhesive and attached - this allows the heart to lift up like butterfly wings.

This last one I made into a little hanging decoration. I added some strong adhesive along the bottom edge and sprinkled beads (glitter would look great too).  I then threaded some larger beads on some embroidery floss and poked it through the top with a needle.  To create the piece that hangs from the bottom, I punched a circle and then cut it into a spiral, attaching it to the bottom with a glue dot.

File is here for download.  It is set up so you can print 6 boxes on a 8.5x11 piece of paper.
