Quick Thanksgiving Table Decoration
11/20/2007 10:15:44 AM (Eastern Standard Time, UTC-05:00)
Holly shared this adorable, super-easy way to add a little bit of nature to your Thanksgiving table without spending a dime:
Gather some autumn leaves, the more colorful the better.
Grab a leaf punch or two out of supply stash.
Line up the vein of a leaf with the center of the tool and punch.
Scatter the leaves on your tablecloth or affix them to place cards.
Hope you and yours have a blessed, happy Thanksgiving!
Best,
Beth

Punching leaves - how creative Beth!
Something I tried this year was simply wiping pretty leaves with glycerin and pressing between brown paper bag paper for 10 days or so. The leaves stay supple and won't crack, but they do lose a bit of their intensity.
I wonder, if one wants to keep their punched leaves for future decorating, I don't see why treated leaves would not work. I am surprised that the punch did not stick. I am going to have to try this, the kids will think it is fun! Thanks for the idea and have a blessed Thanksgiving.
