What kind of love are you celebrating?
2/13/2008 2:20:50 PM (Eastern Standard Time, UTC-05:00)
self? parental? significant other? worldly?
I've come to learn that celebrating love isn't just a once-a-year thing. For me it's everyday, whether it's the sunshine, laughter, chocolate, a brand new day...you get the idea :) And it's just not about romantic love, it's about the love we feel when someone smiles at us, holds the door open, let's you change lanes on the highway, when you receive a hug, or when your pet greets you with kisses at the door.
This week I wanted to scrap something about everyday love... And I also wanted it to be my first digital attempt. Let me tell you that I had a lot of fun with this page. It's simple, mainly because I wanted the photos and journaling to stand out above all else on the page. I am a traditional paper scrapper normally, but I think I'll be trying my hand at digital a bit more often in the future.
Elements on the page came from these digital kits at
littledreamerdesigns.com:
Boho Chic Elements Pack
Boho Chic Paper Pack
Springtide Paper Pack
Distressed Alpha :: true type font
WildSorbet (which you can get
free
here
).
Share with us what kind of love you are celebrating this week?

Yeah Christy! You go with your bad digital self! :) Love your first digi page, good for you!
This week I am celebrating the love of family and good friends, without them there wouldn't be much to scrap, right?

Christy, I love the simplicity of the page as well as the content. Awesome! As for me, my daughter just got engaged so I am enjoying seeing her so very happy this Valentine's season & rejoicing with her.

Seeing this page made my day. It has got to be the most beautiful page I have seem this year. I love everything about it. I especially like the content. Thank you so much for sharing it. I really appreciate. It will give me something to smile about all day long. I love it!
As for me, I plan to celebrate just being. I don't need a special day to let my kids know I love them. I show them I love them through my everyday love for them, like baking their favorite cookies while they are at school, washing their favorite shirts they thought was dirty, taking the time to draw 100 hearts by hands on my daughter's shirt in order for her to celebrate the 100 day at school which happen to fall on Valentine's day, etc. That is the type of love I love celebrating.

Christy,
Having the privilege of knowing you personally, I can't emphasize how much this design accurately portrays your heart. You are so tender towards others everyday of your life and I hope and pray that your example will rub off on me. On this Valentines Day I am so proud of your heart and overjoyed to be a recipient of the love that extends from it.
