Sharing Storage Solutions
5/14/2007 4:53:32 PM (Eastern Daylight Time, UTC-04:00)
Lisa Tutman-Oglesby, Master '07, has some great ideas for organization. In a recent blog entry, Lisa says she's always on the lookout for fun ways to store her "seemingly endless supply of stuff." Check out a few photos of some of her favorite finds: http://www.memorymakersmagazine.com/lisatutmanoglesby/

I especially like the vase Lisa picked up at a garden shop. Not only is it a great storage solution, but it's a beautiful one, as well. What better way to store your supplies than to store them artistically? Pratical and pleasing to the eye—a great combo!

Looking for paper storage ideas? Check out this thread in the forum.

I'm sure all of you out there have some great storage solutions, too, and we'd like to hear them. Post a comment with your own inventive ideas, and we'll feature a few in an upcoming blog post.

Have a great evening!

I love storage options that an also be used as decoratative elements...I recently found some unique glass Ball canning jars at Wal-Mart. The are about 4 in' in cir., but only about 2 in' high - so cute and GREAT for dividing my buttons out by color!

Hi Jill,

What a great way to display and store your buttons! Thanks for sharing.

I love metal containers with clear lids (the type used for spices) and use them for storing larger items but I really needed something for smaller brads and eyelets. I discovered smaller containers just like the larger ones in the wedding dept. at Michael's. They come in a round tin or a heart shaped tin with clear lids. Since I love anything with hearts, I purchased the heart ones. There are 30 in a package for $19.99 but I used a coupon so they only cost me about $12.00 for all 30. I had to add the magnetic tape to the back but it was fast and easy and now they're on my wall and I can easily see what's inside each one. Because they aren't so deep, they're also easier to get those tiny brads out of.
