Printing Photos and Hybrid Elements
6/18/2008 3:56:42 PM (Eastern Daylight Time, UTC-04:00)
Are you a hybrid scrapbooker? Check out the gorgeous photos and text accents (left) that the MM team just printed using our
Epson R1900 Photo Printer
. (There's a bit of a glare at the top of the photo of myself, but that isn't the case in person.)
In the last few months, I've been dabbling more and more in hybrid scrapbooking by adding text to photos, printing digital embellishments, etc.
What are your printing habits? Do you print any photos at home? Do you print digital embellishments? If so, what kind of printer do you use?
Stay tuned to see what the MM team creates with our freshly printed photos and text accents!
All the best,
Katie

Yay for Hybrid Scrapbooking :)!!!! I would say the majority of my scrapbooking is hybrid these days. I invested in an Epson wide format printer a few years ago, and I think it is my all-time favorite scrapbooking tool! I have gotten SO much use out of it. I print all of my photos at home - I love the instant gratification of being able to take a photo of my son, upload it, play around with it on the computer, crop it to any shape or size, then print it right then and there. I also love to print out digital papers and embellishments. I could go on and on, but I think by know you know how I feel about hybrid ;).

I was the lucky soul who won an Epson R1900 wide format printer from you recently. It's awesome! And it's already really come in handy. Recently, DH's wonderful grandmother passed away, and so the family asked me to pull together photos for her for a display at the memorial. The printer (in conjunction w PSE) made it so easy to be able to pull together the many pictures of her I had, and that others contributed (I scanned), making little quick layouts for the photoboard- and then I can reprint these for an album. And being able to print photos in any size I want is already helping my regular scrapbooking (for instance in my 12 on the 12th pages). Hybrid is my style-- I've done a couple of all-digital pages (like above), but it's not my thing so far. But this in-between, I love. And the photo quality on this printer is AMAZING!
