Black & White Photography
Monday, February 04, 2008 1:36:47 PM (Eastern Standard Time, UTC-05:00)
I'm back with a few more photos to share.
On Saturday, I played around a bit with the black and white mode on my camera.
(Can you tell that my cat Mia is a diva and isn't camera shy?)
To keep my camera steady, I set it on the bed (where Mia was sprawled out, enjoying the afternoon sunshine). Later, I softened the images using
these Photoshop tricks
from MM Books Associate Editor Kristin Boys.

Share your own favorite black and white snapshots,

And don't forget to spend some time in our
NEW photography forum
. Post your burning photography questions. Discuss cameras, equipment and photo-editing software. Or, share some of your latest snapshots.
Happy picture-taking,
Katie

I love b/w photos but my camera is not fancy enough to have that mode. However, I do love Photoshop and enjoy converting certain photos to black and white. Should be an interesting new forum!
