* Voice returning. Actually it held out until the very end. Started sounding like Frogger in the truck on the way home, as I sang (screeched) my heart out! ;)

* Boxes stacked up for *Michigan* next month.
* Lessons learned, fun had, great people met, more fun had.

* Scared some folks with my hyperactivity. Other folks were okay with it. Other folks loved it. No worries, I made sure that I sugared everyone up so they were hyperactive with me. ;) Lots of "energetic instructor" reviews. I'm taking that as a positive...better than being a drone. Bwhahahahah! :)

Yep...that was my GASC weekend!! :)

This one has fingerpainting fun (wet wipes again), stamping with household objects (a fave for this budget conscious girl! LOL), and maybe scariest of all...doodling! LOL Everyone did really great...dove right in to the fingerpainting, and either doing or promising to do the doodley scallops & title! :) Out of the box for some folks but I loved how everyone jumped in with both feet and eyes wide open.

One more share. This is one of the projects from the Vintage Hip class (Jenni Bowlin goodies).

This was a TOTAL feel good class. Everyone really responded to this one...the products, the projects, and the vintage vibe. Some folks had heritage pic copies that they were using and the projects went from great to WOW with that touch!

 We always have frames which ends up without a glass cover. I counted mine and it totalled to three. So I set out to try and make use of it. Here is what I created. A non scrapbook related post...but as with everything that happens in your life...there is always potential for a scrapbook related topic;)  ...I'm running again.  I used to run and following an injury (with no health insurance) I had to stop.  It has been about 13 years.  It's three miles, three times a week (kickboxing and spin classes mixed in for interest)...  It's a start.

To keep my pace steady, I needed tunes...ones to motivate.  I always find music used in advertising inspirational.  (Think Nike commercial with Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve...which is already on the ipod.)  Google "commercial music" and you will find websites that list favorite commercials sporting tunes with links to itunes.  So I share with you my new list of inspirational songs (sporting a Beatlesque flavor).  Perfect motivation to keep me trudging along.

... my boy heads off to his very first sleep-away camp.  He'll be gone for two weeks!  I know he'll be fine... he'll be busy enough that he won't have time to miss us.  Its those of us who are left behind that I worry about

I'm hoping he'll write and to help that along... I made him some custom postcards for camp.  He's eight, so writing isn't really much of his thing.  I figured a big blank sheet of paper might be too daunting but a postcard would be managable for him.  I first went to the postal service's site to see what the rules and regulations are for postcards, picked a size and started working on them.  Given that I started this project a little late and have a lot going on, I opted to use pages from the Sportsmania mini album by Emily Merritt and Tiff Brady at wearestorytellers.com.  Oh wow.... did these help speed the process up!  I dropped in my photos, and after merging the layers, I dragged the album page onto my postcard sized canvas, added text and embellishments and flattened.  Super quick and easy!!  All that's left to do now is to have them printed on cardstock at the office supply store, cut them out and I'm done!

The background papers and alpha came from the Sportsmania kit by Emily Merritt and Tiff Brady at wearestorytellers.com.  The foam stamp alpha is by Emily Powers at wearestorytellers.com.  And the fonts are arial and AL Old Remington.  Please excuse the spelling of camp with a "k"... the camp name starts with a "k" so any reference they make to camp or campers starts with "k" as well. 

Now... let's just hope he writes!!

This is one of "those" layouts. The ones that get started, find inspiration, and then somewhere along the way, they just sputter out. Partially the layout, partially my crazy-busy self, but this has been sitting on my desk for over a month! :shock: :horror: LOL But yesterday, I decided. It was going to get finished before I picked up Lilli at school. 3:30...no more, no less. So here it is:

The fun part is the background paper--its Scenic Route grid paper that I went over with sharpie and then colored in with map pencils. I've done this with crayons before too. Oh, highlighters might be fun! LOL Hmmm, back to the desk for more I guess! :)

I think I've lost my mind...somewhere between projects, instructions, photos, and kit packing! LOL But its so much fun and helps build the excitment for the right-around-the-corner TX GASC! I can't believe its almost here and I haven't shared my projects yet (other than on the GASC site). So, I thought I'd show y'all some of what I'm so excited about... No worries (not that you would), I'll share more GASC goodies soon, but for a first run, here's the projects for my 2 Cosmo Cricket classes:

Get Happy album class:

This class is so me...full of randomness, painty fun, tearing stuff up, and just plain ol' playing with scrappy goodies. :)

In Stitches class featuring Honey Pie line:

At first, these papers both scared me and interested me...love the cross-stitch printed coolness, but not my usual color palette (says the almost-neon color lovin' chick). But I gotta tell ya that when I started playing with them, I absolutely LOVED the sweetness that this great line has...worked so perfect for my cutie pie lil one! :)

So, there's a little taste of Cosmo Cricket lovelies that you can sample at GASC! Online registration for Texas is closed, so you'll have to run to the registration booth when you get there. LOL! :) I'm teaching these 2 classes in Grand Rapids too! Hope to see y'all there! :) ...Staci
