Using Heritage Photos
I created this little wall hanging using a page from a Maya Road Triangle Banner. The weight of the chipboard is perfect to alter. The little girl is a copy from a photo of my Mom. Wasn't she just the cutest little thing! My niece Madelyn looks so much like her at this age.
I think this is a fun way to incorporate heritage photos into projects. All I did was scan the photo, print it out on white, heavy weight cardstock and cut out the image. Next, I cut out wings and a crown freehand from patterened paper and added beads to the wings (make sure you leave room at the bottom of the wings so you can attach them to the back of the photo) Now just add buttons and rhinestones and your little angel is complete. I attached her to the banner using pop dots. I like the dimension it gives to the project. The banner is covered with patterned papers, lace, velvet ric rac, pom pom trim, tulle and rhinestones. The hanger is a silver pipecleaner. I tied a bow on one corner using white seam binding and added a silver jingle bell just for fun.
I hope you give this a try. It is a really fun little project.

That is a pretty neat project. It's neat how you were able to use several different materials with this.

Adorable! I love it! The photo is precious & a great way to "spotlight" it! I like how you used so many different embellishments that I have in my sewing cabinet!
